1. What information do we collect?
Personal information you provide
In short: We collect information you voluntarily provide when you register, use the Services, express interest in hearing from us, or contact us.
Personal information may include: names; email addresses; usernames; passwords (stored using appropriate security practices); phone numbers or mailing addresses if you choose to provide them; contact preferences; and content you submit through forms (such as our “Get in touch” form).
Sensitive information: We do not ask you to provide sensitive categories of data (such as health information) as a condition of using the Services.
Social logins: If we offer registration or sign-in through a third-party account (for example, a social platform), we may receive limited profile information as described in that provider’s permissions and Social logins below.
Information you provide must be accurate to the best of your knowledge, and you should tell us about important changes.
Information collected automatically
In short: Some information is collected automatically when you visit the Services, such as device and usage data.
We may collect log and usage data (for example IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and timestamps), device data, and coarse location derived from IP. We may use cookies and similar technologies as described in Cookies and tracking technologies.
Google APIs: Our use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Information from other sources
We may receive limited information from public sources, partners, or platforms (for example to keep records current or for security). If you interact with us on social media, the information we receive depends on your settings on that platform.
2. How do we process your information?
In short: We process information to run and improve the Services, communicate with you, maintain security, comply with law, and for other purposes described here or when we obtain your consent.
We may process personal information to:
- Create and manage accounts and authentication;
- Provide features you request (directory, profiles, communications between users where offered);
- Respond to inquiries and support requests;
- Send service-related notices and, where permitted, marketing (you may opt out of marketing as described in Your privacy rights);
- Operate maps or location features (for example using Google Maps Platform APIs where applicable);
- Monitor and improve performance, analytics, and security, and prevent fraud or abuse;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
3. When and with whom do we share personal information?
In short: We may share information in specific situations with service providers and as required by law.
We may share information with vendors who help us host the site, analyze usage, send email, process payments (if applicable), provide maps or AI features, authenticate users, and similar functions. We use contracts or terms designed to require appropriate protection and use only for providing services to us.
We may also share information: in connection with a business transfer; when required by law; to protect rights and safety; with your direction or consent; or as described in connection with social features or public areas of the Services.
4. Third-party websites
The Services may link to third-party sites or include third-party content. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please review their policies before providing information.
5. Cookies and other tracking technologies
We may use cookies and similar technologies for operation of the Services, preferences, analytics, and (where applicable) advertising. Third parties may also use cookies or pixels as part of integrated tools. Where required by law, we will obtain consent for non-essential cookies or offer opt-out mechanisms described in applicable state sections below.
We may use analytics tools (for example Microsoft Clarity and/or Google Analytics). You can learn about Google Analytics opt-out at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
6. Social logins
If you register or sign in with a third-party account, we may receive information such as name, email, or profile details according to that provider. We use it as described in this notice. The provider’s use of your data is governed by its own policy.
7. How long do we keep your information?
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this notice, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law (for example tax or security records). When we no longer need it, we delete or anonymize it, or restrict access until deletion is possible.
8. How do we keep your information safe?
We use reasonable organizational and technical safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; use the Services at your own risk and protect your account credentials.
9. Do we collect information from minors?
We do not knowingly collect or market to children under 18. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 18, contact us at info@shopmainstreet.co and we will take appropriate steps.
10. What are your privacy rights?
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port certain data, or to object to or restrict certain processing, including marketing. You may withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, without affecting prior lawful processing.
To exercise rights, email info@shopmainstreet.co or use the contact options in Contact us. You may opt out of marketing messages by following instructions in those messages or by contacting us.
Where applicable, we will honor opt-out preference signals such as Global Privacy Control (GPC) for covered processing.
11. Do-not-track
There is no uniform standard for “Do Not Track.” We do not respond to all DNT signals today. If that changes, we will update this notice.
12. U.S. state privacy rights
Residents of certain U.S. states may have additional rights (for example to know, access, correct, delete, or opt out of certain “sales,” sharing, or targeted advertising as defined under state law). We will verify requests as permitted by law. You may designate an authorized agent where allowed.

15. How can you review, update, or delete your data?
User data deletion
For step-by-step instructions (including POS requests), see our dedicated page: How to delete your account.
You may request deletion of personal information we hold about you, including data associated with your account on the Services. To submit a data deletion request, email info@shopmainstreet.co with the subject line “Data deletion request” and include the email address or username tied to your account so we can verify your identity. We will process verified requests without undue delay and confirm when deletion is complete or explain any limited exceptions (for example information we must retain by law).
If you use Google Sign-In or another third-party login, you can also remove our app’s access from your Google Account (or the other provider’s security settings); that stops new access through that connection but does not automatically delete data already stored with us—use the email above if you want that data removed from our systems.
Additional information on how user data must be handled when using Google services appears in Google’s API Services User Data Policy.
Depending on applicable law, you may also have the right to request access, correction, or portability of personal information we hold. To submit those requests, email info@shopmainstreet.co or, where available, use your account settings on the Services.
This policy is provided for informational purposes and does not constitute legal advice. You may wish to have it reviewed by counsel for your specific practices and jurisdictions.
